- The EtherCAT 4km Remote Access Controls Chassis is an EtherCAT slow controls chassis which bridges the EtherCAT systems in the corner and end stations. It connects to computer system and provides fiber outputs to connect to the next chassis located in the electronics room. It supports the PTP timing protocol for synchronizing the controls system to a grandmaster clock. It connects to serial ports supporting both with RS232 and RS422. It also supports remote safety terminals that can be used for laser interlocks and it can monitor the temperature in the computer room.
